Hmm you just beat me to the answer. I spent ten mins on cricinfo looking through the Ireland and Scotland squads.
Those eleven players make a pretty good side. Particularly depressing to see young players such as Gary Ballance leaving the country. Also Colin de Grandhomme who know lives in Auckland, New Zealand.

Ryan Watson it is! He could do with losing a few kilos, but he's Scotland's best batman and I believe he captains them from time to time too.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket quiz
Thought I'd bring this up seeing the Logan Cup is around the corner.
What is the highest team score (in a single innings) ever made in First Class cricket in Zimbabwe?

Re: Zimbabwe cricket quiz
Okay, my question is:
In the Zimbabwean tour of Australia in 2003/04 seson, in the VB Series (AUS-IND-ZIM) against India in a match two of Zimbabwean batsmen scored centuries (Stuart Carlisle 109, Sean Ervine 100). But eventually Zimbabwe lost the match. You have to answer that by how many runs Zimbabwe lost the match ?

Re: Zimbabwe cricket quiz
India won by 3 runs. I remember watching the Zim innings on TV. It certainly brightened a cold winter's morning in the UK! At one stage it appeared that Zim had no chance, but then Carlisle and Ervine began to get going and the Indians started to worry. Unfortunately Ervine got out after getting his century and Heath Streak was just unable to take Zim home.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket quiz
That was a game Zim should have won. That 200+ partnership between Ervine and Carlisle is still a record for any wicket in ODIs for Zimbabwe. It was heartbreaking to see Zim lose that match, after getting into a very healthy position.
A lot of the blame, must go to Carlisle, who hit straight to mid-on and went through for an utterly non-existant run, as Ervine stood in dismay. Then even worse, Carlisle asked Ervine to sacrifice his wicket, and Ervine obeyed. Clearly, if anyone was equipped to take Zim home, it was Ervine. The very next over, Carlisle too got out when a few dot balls got to him, and the target had suddenly become too much for the new batsmen. A very sad day indeed.
