Morning. Damn it, I should have woken up earlier. In the few minutes I'm switched in, Ireland have lost three wickets.

On a day of deplorable fielding, Chakabva has been brilliant really.

credit where it is due. mupariwa bowled decently at the death. chakabva has been good in the field

That right there is why Mupariwa is valuable. Thank God Taylor did not go for Panyangara for the 50th.

but overall our bowling performance was awful. we could not put any pressure on them in the middle-overs and there were just too many dropped catchesgrant wrote:credit where it is due. mupariwa bowled decently at the death. chakabva has been good in the field

Ireland have bossed us like a full member, it'll take a really proper effort even to get in range

Well, a pretty disappointing effort all up. With 330 or so on the board Ireland are probably about a 90% chance of winning this one. We need a big minnow bashing century from Raza or Masakadza; can't see us getting over the line unless we're 1/200 or so after 30 overs.
Until then though, I look forward to seeing his development as a Test batsman. I really want Chakabva to make it.
I was about to post the same thing - a real bright spot. It's a shame his ODI batting isn't a bit stronger otherwise he'd be an automatic selection.CrimsonAvenger wrote:On a day of deplorable fielding, Chakabva has been brilliant really.

He was bowling at #9 and #10 for Ireland though, I wouldn't exactly say that vindicates his selection. It should be noted that he still didn't take any wickets.grant wrote:credit where it is due. mupariwa bowled decently at the death. chakabva has been good in the field
Yeah, Damn Ireland and their disrespectful and arrogant attitude - they play against Zimbabwe like the result is a foregone conclusion. The bloody frustrating thing is they are probably right.Jemisi wrote:Ireland have bossed us like a full member, it'll take a really proper effort even to get in range

mupariwa deserved a wicket - but only has himself to blame
