All these guys are 6 months away from those opportunities. Fans should also maintain composure. We are going to try almost everybody decent by the end of next year. No need to create bad blood before the next generation even gets settled. A lot of them are actually teammates at franchise too. You don't need to hype someone up so much that they are expected to fire from the first game. There will be setbacks.

We should be thinking of who is going to bat at 4 and 5 when those 2 legends are gone. Welch? Naqvi? Welch Jr? Myers? Bennett? They will all get their chances to prove themselves sooner rather than later
Raza in the presser talks about "guys lined up to make their debut in the next 6 to 8 months" Seems there is a bit of plan on the ground. Its shockers like picking Kaitano for a T20 that are always a big suprise. Kinda speaks highly of Nyamhuri but given the challenges we faced in Byo its really the batting that needed reinforcements.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

Well today he talked the same stuff about this is the best we've got and we must back them for a long stretch because Rome wasn't built in a day. Problem is we've had 20 years to build Rome
Raza either believes this shit, doesn't give a shit or just sings for his supper.
He's had a wonderful career thru Zim cricket and is about to leave it floundering when he's the ONE guy in a position to say - No c'mon guys!
I don't know the guy so can't comment on what he really thinks, but he surely is taking the path of least resistance? Maybe he's nibbling away, but we're all doubting that hugely and there's some evidence to the contrary. The impassioned pleas to keep supporting this nonsense are f**ing boring now.

He is right about one thing and that's whoever comes in is not likely to make a huge difference immediately, if any. If he's good for one thing only that should be the next guys need a fair crack of the whip. There are at least 4-6 guys that would be a lot further ahead than some of our current guys if they'd had the 50-100 games under their belts. It's bloody criminal.

We're almost at the point where the Big 3 need to step aside now and leave these guys deep in the shit unless they're very sensible.
Imagine that being the best thing you've done for your country

The team culture sticks a bit as well.
You have to look at the permanent members of the team and then try and imagine what culture we have.
The guys penned in are Richie, Blessing, Raza, Bennett, Madande, Marumani and Masakadza. The others have come and gone to greater or lesser degrees of late. Most are just trying to sort their own games out. Who there believes in themselves to the degree that they think they should be winning most times? Probably only Raza. The rest are just grateful to be playing and praying for a central contract
You need continuity amongst good senior players over a period of years to have a culture you can pass on.

We've had change rooms full of backstabbing low lifes for decades that rely on snitch money.

I understand that they're trying to foster a team culture. Every team needs that. It's hard to do without match winners. We have one- Raza and he's gushing cold at the moment. He's a mere mortal when we play the big teams. We'll he's a bit more than that, he's our talisman and we need him to fire.

Pakistan have got SA 34-3 after 5 overs. Don't think they've seen the spin yet either.

I see Donovan Ferreira in that line-up. Played in the T10 here. Supremely arrogant and stupid. You can do well with those fine attributes as a batsman

Haha is he? I've heard Breeztke is the same. Why's the former so arrogant?
