How can we lose from such a winning position, we got a gift from the cricket Gods and we still lost the match

I dont think blessing would hit one out of 10 for four. No offence to him, not his job

Great game for a neutral. Shumba and burl need to be dropped. Burl just doesnt fire against the pacers does he at all. Shumba pretty poor 8 off 15. Thats terrible

Burl did pretty well?? Burl and Jongwe together are a good lower order combo

What drama. As if said lost because of Ervine's terribly stupid captaincy.
Yeah heaps and heaps of mistakes whether it be dropped catches, Burl rotating strike off first ball, Williams chancing that run, Shumba not rotating strike etc but the worst is not bowling out not one but two of your best bowlers

We missed afif's straightforward catch and he went on to add another 15 runs ..while Shakib hit Bulls eye with that run out . That was the turning point in my opinion

For the first time I will also say the coaching staff got it wrong. They clearly had a plan of bowling off spin to the left handers. Wes got the ball early meaning they discussed all this. Then if that was the thinking then it was an unnecessary risk dropping Jongwe. Adding Wes to the Williams and Raza bowling combo meant that Jongwe would have only had to ball 1 over max..

Chatara did well but looking back at it the change was a huge risk and it has come to bite us hard. Look we have had a lot of things go our way this tournament. From the rain staying away that Scotland game to it pouring against South Africa just 2 days later to Pakistan bottling it. We were bound to have a game of fine margins not go our way.. That's the difference with the very best sides and us I guess.

The semi finals I think were always going to be a stretch because deep down from what I have seen so far I think South Africa are going to smoke everybody. We would have given ourselves a chance but i think it was always going to come down to us having to beat India in the final game no matter what

That's spot on. Jongwe at the end instead of Chatara could have won the game too... Zimbabwe think tank had a brain fade today.
