The batters are better.

In years gone by we had to make do with Tinashe Hove and Rememberance Nyathi. The welch brothers, Campbell, Curran, Myers, Maru and Bennett are leaps ahead in terms of natural batting talent.

Is Bawa and organised bat? Not seen much of him at all
Ya he looks very good. I just don't know how you take that much time off and still hope to be world class. Not dissimilar to Dion, he took a lot of time out.

Naqvi get his hundred up then get that declaration in  300 run lead is enticing to chase on the last day.

Absolutely has to have an impact on your eventual ceiling.

Bawa was playing 2nd XI club cricket in the UK this summer.

Very negative declaration 10 mins before lunch with 390 as the target... and the game drifts away pathetically with Kaia patting back deliveries from some bored spinners. That's my prediction. Hope I'm wrong!

No sporting declaration!

Boring, uncompetitive final days are what we need!!!

Not necessarily the most accurate comparison.
Hove, Nyathi were just bushpigs sent in to make up the numbers and did ok, without knocking on the national door. Nyathi blossomed a little too late.

The batters are indeed hitting more centuries these days. Is it better bat? worse bowlers? batsman pitches? Im not entirely sure. Maybe a bit of all.
