Am I the only one who is questioning if Hamilton Mazakadza should be in this side ?

To me, he looks far from a test batter, his fielding is poor, yet his bowling is tidy...? I want an improved batting performance from him, soft dismissals time and time again, along with ervine. What line was he playing down ?! He's done that twice now to Samuels; come on! Show some intelligence and stop being lazy with your footwork and stroke play!

Cremer...bowl...the ball...flatter! It's a turning wicket is you push it through more!

Disagree on both counts. Pretty much all the batsmen have had poor tours so I wouldn't single out Masakadza. If Zimbabwe are ever to become consistently competitive in Test cricket then Masakadza and Taylor will be the heart of the team, like Clarke and Hussey have been for Australia over the last few years.

And I think Cremer is bowling well. I'd like to see more people around the bat... where is the slip for Chanderpaul, the leg slip for Ramdin? Silly mid off? Do to them what they did to us.

Absolutely. What's more, the way it's turning and bouncing it's difficult to get LBWs, as witnessed in the review.

To be fair, when I saw that ball live I thought it was a pretty good shout.

I agree. Obviously Masakadza has had a pretty poor tour, and is well short of a genuinely international class batsman. However, there is no doubt that he is one of Zim's best players. His record for the national team, and in domestic cricket, says that he is comfortably one of the best in the country, albeit not good enough to be a regular match winner at the highest level.

Just seeing the highlights of the days play and jarvis took a very good catch to give Utseyas the wicket.

Well, a pretty good morning after a bad evening. Hopefully the afternoon can see us get through their middle order.

At least we have made the breakthrough though :W:
What a catch by Jarvis!

It took him 9 years!
context helps...this is his second test..."It took him 9 years!" is mischieviously misleading...having said that still not convinced Test cricket suits him.
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu

Sam Roy: "Graeme Cremer is a disgrace to the tag of frontline wrist spinner playing Test cricket. His offerings are worser than anyone I have ever seen in test history and that includes the worst performances of Tahir and McGain (his only). Surely club level batsman fancy such buffet stuff. Did he learn to bowl leg spin 6 months sgo?"
