Safely through to lunch, only two wickets down. Let's say we are "still in the Test match".
Lot's of spin already for SA. It will be interesting to see how much turn Nyumbu will get. He's got the perfect pitch to bowl on (cetero censeo est: Mushangwe should have played).

Well that's one way to reach the lunch break
2/64 - not a bad session really. Probably South Africa's, but Zimbabwe has done better than probably anyone expected.
How well Zimbabwe does in this Test match probably depends on the next session. If Masakadza and Taylor are still there at tea, then maybe we can dare to dream of something above say 200.

Well done boys 2-64 at lunch is a decent effort but the test will be if we can capitalise on the good batting conditions for the rest of the day, the good teams do !!!!
Looking back Mawoyo would have been better then Vusi, I'm still miffed to why this happened considering Mawoyo has scored 50's against just about everyone he has played against .....

Happy enough with 2/64 at lunch. By the sounds of it Vermeulen just got a good delivery. Taylor and Hammy need to concentrate after the break and just dig-in like they have been doing.

I did read that Mawoyo didn't pull up well after the Afghan match but if he played the whole game I'm not sure how bad of an injury it could be. I would be tempted to try Sibanda down the order in the second innings and open with Hammy and Vermuelen to see if he can get some runs once the shine is off the new ball. He's dead weight out there at the moment.

We have a brown Dale Steyn coming up our ranks!zimfan1 wrote:the bowling is of great quality, such a step up from what they face at domestic level or against BangladeshJemisi wrote:I know this is a bit redundant, but man Steyn looks good. He is scary.
Well, I'm half kidding. But young Taskin is to our other seamers what Dale Steyn is to a Wayne Parnell. He may not be be fit in time for your next visit to BD but my hope is eventually your boys will be requesting helmets with extra padding on the inside.

A good session. Quite pleased. If Hammy scores a ton here, I will never talk shit about him again!
Taylor is class. So is the fellow set to come in next (but hopefully not till long after tea).
Go ZIM!!!!
