[Match Thread: Ireland v Zimbabwe HSC]
Re: [Match Thread: Ireland v Zimbabwe HSC]
I've been listening to Ian Bishop and he makes a lot of sense when he says that we are being bowled out or 9 down too many times. In our 5 innings so far, in 4 of them, we have been 9 down or all out. We need more games like Nepal where it's not just one man playing his heart out.

They bat till Gary Wilson at 7 followed by McBrine, McCarthy, Rankin and Murtagh. Doesn't seem watertight but we need our spinners to fire if we want to win and our pacers to be absolutely on point.

From watching the whole innings what I will say is
Zhuwao did what was expected and died doing it. 20 in the context of the innings isn't bad.
Mire for me needs to do what Zhuwao is doing. This trying to be a sensible batsman thing isn't working for him.
Hami was out to a great delivery but you would have expected him to deal with it considering he practices with Blessing
BT reverse sweeping a ball coming into him. Stupid shot but he has been great this tournament so he is allowed a bad day by his high standards. Was a tight call
Williams looks more like a number 8 batsman these days. So easy to setup and doesn't concentrate hard enough
Ervine was looking good and Raza made him take a risky single but he was watching the keeper throw so he should have put a dive in
Raza sold Ervine out for me but made up for it in the end
Special mention to Chisoro who held his own for a long time
Side note: this wicket is going to get harder to bat on but I feel if we had about 240 we would have been ahead 225 is about par and 211 is just below par. Ireland have a decent battig line-up but they are no Australia. They will make mistakes. We just have to take the half chances

Its not a typical HSC wicket. That i can assure you. Still short but maybe by like 30brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 11:21 amWe're 60 short.
I'd love to be proven wrong - and the bowlers have done well this tournament - but defending 210 in the afternoon at HSC? Massive ask.
Well done to Raza though.

Ireland going with an extra batsman in that match, target isn't massive for well batting equipped Irish team.
Success depends on Aggressive Instinct

Dot balls are key here.

Early wickets , he’s probably our best finisher as he just provedforeignfield wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 10:37 amI'm not able to watch any of this, but how on earth have we ended up batting Raza at 7?Andybligzz wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 10:34 amOnly consistently good international standard batsman we have are Taylor and raza . The rest are not even close .
Indian and English cricket is a cult and bazball is delusional and embarrassing. Bumrah chucks it, Cummins has a shocking seam position, stokes is a fraud. Bangladesh shouldn’t have test status, Bradman was a coat.Marco Jansen is good, zim will rise !
