Yes there is a real chance of a boycott now. I suspect they will most probably say number 9 qualifies. Having a third spot up for grabs at the qualifiers would be more interesting thoughsam_ahm wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2023 7:08 amPCB chairman Najam Sethi has now publicly said that Pakistan won't travel to India for the WC if India don't travel to Pak.
The worst part here is that the ICC are literally a non entity. They don't know how many slots should be open during Qualifiers, how many teams will play in the WC, where will the matches be held if Pak plays at neutral venue... All this with the main event just 5 months away... I don't understand why does the ICC exist at all?

Very strong chance now that Pak may skip the WC.
If the ICC have any level of competence, they should clear it out and mention how many slots are open at WCQs. There is no way we should have a Qualifier without exactly knowing how many slots are up for grabs. That will take ICCs incompetence to another level.

But ICC can't make that determination until PCB officially says they are pulling out. And that won't happen until BCCI/ACC officially says they are moving the entire AC out of Pakistan.sam_ahm wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 3:09 pmVery strong chance now that Pak may skip the WC.

Bottom line is, all teams at the WCQ or any tournament should aim for the best possible performance and finish, regardless of current circumstances which are never in your control.

And they've lost their two bests bats to retirements in recent times. I don't think Scotland will be a threat this time around. If the Netherlands don't have their County players either we can probably discount them too.
Straight shootout between the 4 Full Members to qualify. Although I'm sure the associates will win the odd match here or there which could scupper things for one of the FM's.

Apparantly the word is that we will be in a group with the West Indies, Netherlands, Nepal and the USA..

Hope to get the Windies early & catch off guard I guess. We need to be heading into the Super 6s with at least two wins (not including the wins that won’t count) I feel.

Hopefully Klassan, De Lede and Ackermann won't be released.

Insane that players won't be released for a World Cup Qualifier. Tough
