Yes that would be a moral victory. And we have to bat at least 3 sessions to give a decent account of ourselves, maybe take the match into day 4

Well, a few blows there finally. Would be good to keep them to under 400 in the morning. Cremer has been much improved today over his effort in the first game. Others have contributed. Gayle and Shiv were always going to score some at some point. A significant test of our will coming up tomorrow.

I wonder if the West Indies might declare overnight, they would fancy being able to roll us for 150 or so and have the game won by mid-afternoon. We have so far shown no ability to play spin with even the mediocre Marlon Samuels causing all sorts of strife.

Interesting point... I personally think that only one spinner will be needed at HSC vs Bangladesh, and that should be Price... On the displays in this series, you would struggle to argue that it should be Cremer. The fact is that Utseya's out-cricket (lower-order batting, fielding) is a long way ahead of Price, and he has got time on his side. Unfortunately, at this stage, whoever bowls spin for Zim will have to be capable of doing a containing role at least 80% of the time. Cremer has not been capable of this. Price could do it, but maybe (maybe) Utseya would be a better long-term option. Is there anyone else? If Cremer is struggling to contain, I can't imagine that any of the younger legspinning options would do either at this stage. Clearly Price (primarily, in my opinion) and Utseya are the best finger spinning options at the moment.

Loved watching Chatara cleaning-up Samuels. Can't wait to unleash him on Bangladesh! :D A bowling attack of Jarvis, Chatara, Mpofu & Price / Cremer should be great, aganist them. ;) It's our batting that's worrying me. :?

To me, he looks far from a test batter, his fielding is poor, yet his bowling is tidy...? I want an improved batting performance from him, soft dismissals time and time again, along with ervine. What line was he playing down ?! He's done that twice now to Samuels; come on! Show some intelligence and stop being lazy with your footwork and stroke play!

Cremer...bowl...the ball...flatter! It's a turning wicket is you push it through more!
...you are probably in a minority. All batters including Taylor Waller Ervine Mawoyo (dispite good application) and Vusi have failed in the Tests. To single out one player is vindictive and unfair. To be fair all except Taylor who has had a stinker have done something of note ( at least half century somewhere during the tour) but unfortunately not all together....so short answer is ...you are probably alone on that one.

Look Im one of the doubters when it comes to his Test suitability but to categorically slate and dismiss him on only his second Test...smacks of predijuce ...and what say you of the 3 wickets including Gayles? ...not that Im now convinced but simply asking for some fairness in some of our comments...

impressed by Chatara too, but Rainsford deserves his chance Id go Price/Utseya Jarvis Rainsford Mpofu. Cremer vs a subcontinetal team who grow up on more testing stuff...I worry..at least Peice and Utseya wuthout taking wickets (which is what the quicks will do) could contain.
