batted well for 80 runs though
A century is a century. History will record it as 103 not out, it doesn't matter how they come.
It was a great innings, all of it.

I do agree that Williams deserved man of the series though.

Taylor has had a good series with the gloves, 10 dismissals.

Figures you would expect of the best wicket keeper in the country. 8-)

Glad thats happening cant help thinking we need Streak more. Without taking the gloss of our victory, the fact that we have competition for pace places is testemenr to some great work but more importantly how we failed to kill off games show how much he still had to do. Batting for me is ok we just need form as shown in the last two matches.
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu

We need both of them. The batting was rubbish in West Indies, and probably will be wherever we tour. Home conditions do paper over the cracks a bit.
I think Flower and Streak are both integral to the success of the team.

Interesting point on the competition for pace places... Maybe we should have Test and ODI specialists? For example:

Test:

8. G Cremer
9. K Meth
10. S Masakadza
11. K Jarvis

ODI:

8. P Utseya
9. B Vitori
10. K Jarvis
11. T Chatara

Vitori with his swing and left arm action, but lack of stamina, might mean he is a better one day pick right now than S Masakadza who still has a tendency to be expensive. And Meth was superb in the Test matches, but hasn't really shown the same sort of form ever at ODI level that I can remember.

Well done Vusi, long overdue hundred, and hope there would be more of these. Excellent positive start yet again by Hamilton, taking pressure off Vusi to begin with, Raza some classy shots by the looks of the commentary (how I would love to watch those in highlights) and Williams, man, calss written all over that innings. My man of the series for carrying the team across the line twice in a row, but well done Vusi too.

I was dreading Vitori's inclusion this morning, but what do you know, a masterstroke! Prosper came good when he had to, credit to him. I was pretty critical of him, but did well there, and excellent work in 10+ overs by Hamilton and Williams. Great team work, Taylor's catch another thing to wait for in the highlights package. Go Zim!

And Zimbabwe have claimed another Bangla captain casualty. Musfiqur Rahim stepping down at the end of the tour! Sad for him. Brought down by expectations.
