Well that looks less ugly probably thanks to Jongwe's runs. We can't hope for Raza to carry us every time. He actually seems to have done that with the ball anyway.
This is where questions of match readiness of Williams could come up. If he just turns up for international matches, difficult to get into groove quickly.
Shumba looks to be woefully out of form for the levelheaded guy he was appearing to be last year.

Guys if both matches on Friday get washed out are Zim going through to the super 12 with the scots? Coz right now the scotts are on the top and Zim placed on second as far as NRT is concerned?

Yes.
But the weather for Friday doesn't look that bad to me. Maybe a shortened game at worst imo.

Evans has to replace Shumba. End of.
Every team harps on about squad depth, well then use the guys on the bench. Shumba has had an extended opportunity and has not done enuf.
Nothing against Milton, but Brad needs his year to see how he can do.
Milton sums up our one big problem- strike rotation. He eats too many dots.
We're a one man band atm.

I'm also rather confident we'll beat them if we get a full game in. If it's reduced to 10 overs per side or goes on D/L then anything can happen, could be a lottery.
This tournament format is absolutely shite though. Thankfully for 2024 they are reverting to 4 groups of 5 with no first-round.
Re: Zimbabwe Vs West Indies | T20WC2022 | Match Thread
let's pray for a downpour that will render game-play impossible on Friday. We do not want another UAE like heartache again coz I sense something very ominous if play is possible on Friday.

It will not rain the entire day ..forecast clearly says rain at night ..so first game will happen and if that game happens zimbabwe will have to play and win or else winner of that game and Scotland qualify

No chance of the Ireland/WI match being rained off. Forecast for the daytime is lovely. The rain is only due later in the evening for our match
