T10 sucks . Its just blind hitting . This format will make ervine and Williams look really bad. I wish this was a T20 comp. Would have been far better that way
I beg to differ. You can still make runs by hitting the gaps.
What you can't do is dick around for more than 2 deliveries.
You have to at least rotate strike from the second ball you face.

If the other decks they've prepared are as shite as this one it's bowlers who will win it, not batters. Hafeez will win this tournament for his team. Fuck knows how you read him.

Raza had a blinder first game. The shot he holed out to from Hafeez he plinked, it should have gone the distance.

Can’t wait for today’s action lol. Get the lights and stuff sorted and it will be awesome. Credit where it is due; ZC have come up with the goods largely and only minor improvements are needed.

It’s a bit like The Hundred or something for me, bit of a slog fest that passes an hour or two of an evening. Exposure to all these overseas stars can only benefit our younger lads too.

Evans cops a lot of stick as being a shit fielder. He's dropped a few so far but trust me he's a world class fielder.
He'll get it right, he's a tremendous athlete.

From a spectators point of view there's actually a lot to be said for watching 3 games in a row. They're onto something here. It's a carnival atmosphere. C'mon Zim go and take a gander, it's well worth it.

Ya it’s certainly got a huge amount of potential. It was good yesterday without being perfect. As Googly says, they need to light up the scoreboard and put a few lights in the grandstands.

It’s $2 for castle corner I think.

Definitely a slightly disappointing crowd. Think it goes to show the insane crowds we were getting recently are more people just being patriotic and supporting Zim rather than being particularly interested in cricket itself.

The crowd actually seemed to drop through the evening yesterday - with the biggest numbers for the first match? I wonder if that was due to it being Harare/Bulawayo? Or because it got quite chilly in the evening? It’s not an ideal time of year climate-wise to have night cricket.

Definitely potential for this to be a bit success but still work to be done.

Were you there Googly?

Im tempted to try and get to a game just for the spectacle of the lights tbh

I think the T10 in Abu Dhabi gets particularly small crowds so we are probably already doing better than them anyway

As I predicted Cephas was kept quiet. Evans knows how to bowl at him and he told the other blokes. Back of a length and at him and he doesn't have the shot. He should at least work it and get a single or 2 runs. Six or nix doesn't work too often against quality bowlers, they don't serve it up in your areas. I'd love to see him bang a few, but its unlikely.

They really need to sort the TV screens out and show who's in, who's walking in, who's bowling and RR and runs required.
I missed Smeed, Banton, Williams, Madhevere etc because I didn't realise they were batting.
