Indeed. Such is the "loyalty" of "Kenyan" u19s, and "Zimabwean" u19s.

Does anyone know what type of bowler is TJS???

He's been taking the new ball every game .....

Also noticed Straun Gordon is only 16 ( nearly 17 ) ....

People mistakenly thought 2003 was the start of something for Kenya, whereas it was infact the end of a golden generation which they will probably never have again. Most of the 2003 team had been around since the early 90s and played somewhat regularly against full-member nations. Where Kenyan cricket failed was in developing the next generation of players and capitalising on the growing interest in the sport. The Kenyan admin was possibly even more incompetent than ZCs.
This is one of my biggest fears right now.. that Kenyan team had experience relative to their situation. I fear that we are focusing on getting it right so much that we aren't investing enough on the future.

Trust me Musakanda will get the chop when taylor is back and they could field a test side that looks like this

Mawoyo
Hami
Ervine
Taylor
Williams
Raza
Waller
Chakabva
Cremer
Tiripano
Mpofu

Only Tiripano (29) will be under the age of 30. Plus you still got Vusi,Elton,Chamu and Panyangara all over 30 but still up for selection. This has been mentioned before by others on this forum. I just don't want us to peak over the next 2 years until the World Cup and then we will have to start all over again. We can't have 15 guys out of a national setup of maybe around 23-25 who are all over 30.

Making the WC is so crucial we must put the best side on the field regardless of how old they are, that's why Streak and Taibu have approached BRMT, KJ & Ervine. The financial ramifications of missing out are huge and the interest in cricket will drop big time in Zimbabwe if they fail to qualify ......

Once the WC is over then we should look at the age of the side and see who's going to make it to the next WC. If guys like Hami, Waller, BRMT, Williams etc won't be there well it's time to start retiring them and giving Tary, Burl and co more exposure. We wouldn't want to lose 6 batsman at once though so it will be interesting to see how it plays out ......

I feel if we played more test cricket some of the guys might retire from ODI's and concentrate on tests but what's the point in concentrating on 2-4 tests a year ?
