I don't doubt it, but the thing is [Zimdoggy], if there were enough who were good enough to get out then they probably wouldn't need to. It would probably mean a better standard of cricket in the coutry which would lead to its own rewards... a wider interest in TV rights for the FC or at least T20, potential to join the CLT20, some contracts for other leagues and a more open policy to allow it within ZC - and people would be paid).

Where there is some confusion is around aid and foreign investment. ZANU benefitted considerably during the 80s. When people started to feel things were going dodgy, that began to dry up. As worse decisions and actions followed one after another there was a natural lack of willingness from individuals, corporations and governments to invest or aid Zim. This was not a result of sanctions but a risk assessment on the basis of poor governance. The outcomes may be the same - less foreign fund inflows - but the cause is different. Aid dollars are keenly competed for in Africa. Zim govt placed itself well down everyones priotrity list. And as for business investment - Why would a corporation or individual put any money into a place where there is no rule of law? Both the East and West have casinos for people who want to throw money away.

Remember price controls? Remember how Zim businessmen weren't willing to sell something for less than they paid for it? Well black, white, Jewish, yellow, ZimNdebeledoggy or whatever colour business people aren't willing to do that either. If you want to think sanctions are the reason for Zim misery then you can call this self-imposed sanctions.

I find it curious when people talk about the Jews being "looked after" by the US. The stated goals of most of her neighbours for decades has been to wipe Israel off the face of the map. So they have been given funding and military supply and some diplomatic protection at the UN for what that is worth. So Israel is still there. It is a pretty transparent and understandable business and strategic relationship. The Jews don't need to be "behind everything" to make it work.

If you want me to buy into a conspiracy, then let's talk about Cephas and the way he is "looked after", maybe he has Jewish roots. Actually, I seem to remember a Cephas following that other troublesome Jew Yeshua around some time back. Sounds like enough evidence to me, no?

Well, eugene has directed me to newzimbabwe forums. What's that? Not everything bad in Zimbabwe is the fault of the USA, Britain, and a few minor sanctions. It's largely the fault of Zimbabwean citizens themselves, exacerbated by foreign influence, that's for sure! If you accuse the govt, and they say we couldn't do our job properly because of foreigners meddling with our affairs what on earth can you say to them because it's true! As for terming the sanctions minor - please, that's literally undermining the great lengths to which the US&British govts went to cover all angles! Iceland is not run by the USA army and Australia is not run by the army either - not even Gillard, Howard would've attempted to deny what I said! Marxism > me - I give up!

Aid dollars are keenly competed for in Africa, don't you mean opportunities to be owned and bribed by the West Jemisi? Don't get me wrong, China's doing the same, and Russia actually wishes it was the one getting contracts to rebuild the North Africa, instead of the bigwigs of NATO! Price controls - were appropriate. I could have crossed the border from South Africa to Zim(including Lanidng Costs), and still sold them for less that what most businesses were selling them for! Most guys were profiteering because they created artificial shortages. Zim's runaway inflation was not an accident, it was man-made by greedy businesspeople - foreign&local, not the govt(they kick started it with the war vets compensation, but it was never going to be anywhere near a fraction of what it developed into)! I know that very well because we did a lot of business and systems consultation for a lot of businesses in Hre&Byo. Witness accounts, not bribed news by 'established' economists!

Can't believe in this day and age people can still deny that Israel/Jews dictate global policies! Most countries indebted - both internal and external debt - all of whch comes from banks(apart from China). The world is just recovering from a global financial crisis, and none of you are surprised why govt leaders casually bailed out the banks! They had no choice - they were told to! Jews own every industry here in SA, just as they control the media, banks etc in every other country. Zimdoggy puts it clearly! They don't need funding/protection from anyone - very self sufficient nation and race. The US does their bidding, plain & simple!
