Re: Series thread: Faithwear Inter-Provincial One Day 2008-09
Good to see that Vermeulen has scored match best 30 runs.I reckon the matches are being played on very slow pitch like the one which was used against Sri Lanka.I think the upcoming matches are going to be low scoring. But I think sporting pitches are needed to score runs as well.
Charles Coventry missed out scoring 10 runs but still he has hit a six.Chigumbura bowled well taking 4 wickets.Cremer did well taking 3 wickets and Pricey also chipped in taking a wicket and economic as well.He is going to take many wickets in the matches to come,I reckon.
In the Centrals-Easterns match,Great that 19 years old Richmond Mutumbami made 53 though Malcolm Waller missed out scoring 14.Masakadza and Nyamuzinga did well each scoring 31.Mutizwa contributed with 25.
But the comeback match of Douglas Hondo wasnt on top.He bowled a figure of
(7-0-39-1).Expensive comparing with others. But I am looking forward to see what he can do in the matches to come.

ill reserve my judgment of all players till the end of the first round as after 3 games we should have enough to go on to asses there performances

so the important performances to take note of
- chibbhbhas 121 not out must secure his place for the national sides squad
- Richmand mutumbami 29 not out means another good score to follow up yesterdays 50
- Malcom waller failed again by getting a golden duck but did take two wickets with his leg spin
- Vermulen scored another decent score 32 but he needs to go on and starting getting big scores
- Blessing mahwire retrned to first class cricket in zimbabwe with 5 overs for 10 runs
