Here you go:

Coventry didn't play - although this was a warm-up match, so Zim not playing their best side.

just proberly looking at the fringe players considering that coventry was in prime for in the one day series
lets hope this will give our players confidence
it was against a very week nambian side i expect the other 3 games to be much more competitive

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
i dont think its as weak a team as at looks. four of the nambian players are in the namibia national team for the world cup qualifers{van schoor,s burger,g williams and l klazinger). i think they underestimated the strenght of the zimbabwean team. they wanted zim A to play namibia A which has proved to be nothing but a dream for the namibians. Come on zim A!!!!

Good to see that Zimbabwe 'A' won against Namibia Invitational side.Timycen Maruma well batted scoring 100*,he must be looking for the spinning allrounder spot in the national side where Keith Dabengwa and Graeme Cremer is already on.

Well that is fantastic for Timycen Maruma, a wonderful knock.
It has to be said though how weak that Invitational XI was. I recognised the names Burger, Williams and Klazinger but not one of the other players names ring any bells. When we play the full Namibia XI (?) hopefully we do just as well, that will be a better indicator to the strength of Zimbabwe A. Still, well done to Maruma - to make a century in any game, let alone in 70 balls - is impressive.

Excellent result. If Zim A could comfortably beat Namibia, it would show that Zim are comfortably above associate level. Especially considering that Namibia got to the final of the intercontinental cup, and have a decent chance of qualifying for the world cup.

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
Have requested the result and scorecard from CN (since no-one else, including the two boards, seems interested in giving this series any coverage), but no word back yet. I'll post anything I get as soon as it comes through.
