true ... and at home to boot!
but our batsmen looked more assured than recently - top order firing and middle order cleaning up - hard to know if there is finally some improvement in this regard. next couple of series will give us a better picture but in fact the away series will be the best measure
I think the batting is still very fragile. Williams made a big difference and we were in danger of losing both times he arrived at the crease. Williams was outstanding at rotating the strike and disturbing the bowlers' rhythm etc. Taylor, Sibanda still get bogged down mid innings and Taylor too has issues with rotating the strike. Typically the batsmen have gotten bogged down, confused and not being able to attack or defend, losing wickets in clumps mid stream through the innings. This is not going to change overnight. But the arrival of Williams does throttle the innings out of the slump to get it moving again. I am sure there are still many defects in the batting lineup but these guys are the best availble so we have to go with them..

Yes sscricket ... I agree. Maybe it was my sentence but i did actually mean the current batting looks more assured than the recent one with a makeshift opener and Irvine instead of Williams
