Wow I cant believe how good a position the boys are in a lead of 181 and 6wickets still in hand plus 4 of those guys are proper batsman we really have a great chance for victory here with still 2 days to go .....
The most important factor here is the pitch if it continues to deteriorate chasing 250 to 300 will be impossible as long as our boys can keep their nerve .....
BRMT has to play a captains knock tomorrow if he can get past 50 with some help surely we can get to a 300 run lead .....
How is the pitch looking now I know Grant Flower was concerned it would break up ....
Once again 3 days of competetive test cricket with our boys ahead and I have missed it all I really think I'm bad luck for the guys .....

As long as we don't have a quick collapse in the morning we should have a good chance of winning this match. Misbah will be the key in the second innings for Pakistan, Vitori will be the key for us. Unfortunately I don't think Utseya is good enough to run through the Pakistanis, even on a deteriorating pitch.

Another day of test cricket won. Sad that we fell apart in the last nine balls after dominating things for the afternoon. We can put something on the board here and Vusi gets his chance to bat in the middle order, will be interesting to see how he goes. Hope we can at least push the lead past 300.

Watched every ball of the game yesterday. It was a very confident performance from Zimbabwe.
They looked like determined to win this test match.
Now, put a target of 300+ and beat Pakistan comprehensively
All the best

It will be ... but it'd be harsh to judge him by how he goes in these circumstances.Jemisi wrote:Vusi gets his chance to bat in the middle order, will be interesting to see how he goes. .

Don't think so, this is the easiest opportunity he would get with no pressure with a platform laid for him, and batting at his preferred middle order. He must come good today. But yes, one can't judge him on a single innings alone. He is due any score in tests, with Mawoyo having a couple of 50s to show this year, he is now looking like the weak link.betterdays wrote:It will be ... but it'd be harsh to judge him by how he goes in these circumstances.
Go Vusi! prove a few of your doubters (including me) wrong...
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe Pakistan 2nd test
Well, off Vusi goes...
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe Pakistan 2nd test
have I finally met the least cynical zimbabwean? a pk spin attack on essentially a 9-day old wicket with (no less than 350) being the target and hin apparently ill...and this is no pressure. I hope you are rightCrimsonAvenger wrote:Don't think so, this is the easiest opportunity he would get with no pressure with a platform laid for him..betterdays wrote:It will be ... but it'd be harsh to judge him by how he goes in these circumstances.
