K long can play all of the 20/20 matches against Pakistan and Afghanistan same with musekiwa

Gumbie should only be looked at for the tests and ODI.

Ervine and Williams won't play the 20/20 so they could also give Munyonga a go in this format.

I don't think they should pick completely alternative squads but they should pick guys like K long musekiwa for the shorter formats and give them a long rope in the 20/20 matches.

The fact that Pakistan Afghanistan series is multi format gives selectors a chance to pick players who are suitable for the big hitting and consolidation factor.

Do we have a squad list for those going to rwanda tomorrow?

It would be a good plan to send U19's.
Plus at least one guy they want to fast track into the national side for a fifer against Rwanda C, or a 20

From that squad i know Lennox Chando, Ronak Patel, Tashinga Makoni, Panashe Taruvinga, Chirwa, Nyamhuri, Anesu Kamuriwo, Ryan Simbi, Kamwemba

The only guys who seem to be getting starts in franchise are Makoni and Nyamhuri. I'm surprised they're not staying here to play, it will be a much higher standard of cricket.

It seems the franchise is too strong this year for Patel, Kamwemba, Chirwa and Taruvinga
There will be opportunity for some guys when the Zim squad is playing or in camp obviously.

With Mukhulani now the boss of African cricket we're helping African teams improve, it's not going to do a lot for our cricket. We're helping them close the gap on us when we need to be closing the gap on SA. If we want to improve we need to be playing South African sides. It would be great if he focused on our ailing cricket and crooked selectors.

If you'd told me 2 years ago we'd soon be playing Uganda, Mozambique and Rwanda I'd have laughed, perhaps a little uneasily, but laughed nonetheless.

Would ZC rather we smash Rwanda or play and probably lose to an SA emerging side or an EFF XI?
I guess a couple of wins helps with admin morale. A win is a win.
The possibility exists that we may lose to Rwanda or Uganda of course, but then we could challenge Malawi, Chad and Congo Brazzaville.

I see Langton is umpiring the Sri Lankan game. Aside from Raza, he's the only guy (apart from coaches and admin) who's making a living from cricket in Zimbabwe.
