Big century by Ashley Mufandauya
Another young bat with plenty of promise, played a couple of logan cup games back in 2021 and is still early 20s.

His NPL season has been a bit up and down though.
Another one from the Gladiators/Chitungwiza production line. There are several in that side who deserve a shot at franchise this year.

Yeah he is playing a really good 'finisher' role with a decent strike rate.

There have been loads of young and relatively unknown players sticking their hands up in the NPL. I'd say this almost warrants an additional side to the main setup, maybe for the t20 / one day matches.

I could name a squads worth of players who have had a decent NPL that only have a slim chance of making the main teams. They would probably struggle to compete but its still an interesting thought.

That Hamilton Masakadza in the runs again, anybody know much about him?.......

Great to watch him and Welly batting together. He still has a good eye....except missing that straight one from Larry

They had that Lions side as a 6th team during the last domestic T20 and I'd suggest that is worth doing again - a 6th team can work over a short period, e.g. the domestic T20.

I'd say 5 is the right number for the Logan Cup though. Keep the standard as high as possible.

The NPL is working great though as a platform for guys. Hopefully the provincial club cricket leagues have another improved season this year as well.

Have these games been given official T20 status by ZC? Will the records be added on player’s cricinfo profiles?

Some of the shots that Matthew Welch has played this morning are orgasmic. Looks to have a higher celling that Bennett to me with the bat.

If Chibhabha plays for the Eagles this season it will be a travesty. Lots of young lads pushing for franchise spots this season. We will see the politics on display if some of the old timers keep their places ahead of young guns.
