Some of the shots that Matthew Welch has played this morning are orgasmic. Looks to have a higher celling that Bennett to me with the bat.
If he can just assess the bowlers and situation better he's going to have a career. He's a tremendous talent. Time on the ball, can't buy it.

NPL performers who didn't feature much or at all in the last domestic season:

Bats
Tinashe Chiorah (westside 463 runs at 51)
Ryan Kamwemba (Uprising 453 runs at 45)
Aisha Chibanda (Uprising 434 runs at 36)
Tariro Makauyo (Uprising 433 runs at 36)
Ashley Mufandauya (Gladiators 333 runs at 30)
Jayden Schadendorf (Scorpions 364 runs at 45)

Allrounders
Brandon James (Bulawayo 398 runs 20 wickets)
Matt Campbell (Rainbow 190 runs 25 wickets)

Bowlers
Victor Chirwa (Kadoma 30 wickets at 9.6)
Munashe Zata (Gladiators 20 wickets at 16)
Patrick Nyampfeni (Rainbow 20 wickets at 24)
Malcolm Chikuhwa (Gladiators 19 at 17)

Keepers
Tafadzwa Ngulube (Westside 147 runs at 21, 18 dismissals)

Just a selection there are others that have performed in the odd game, haven't included those like Mhlanga who have played a few first class games now. Not many Keepers putting their hands up as usual, just liked Ngulubes technique.
Owen Muzondo, spinner from Gladiators, deserves a mention too

What's the other campbell brother like?

He wasn't picking Burl's googly (survived a good shout), but was playing it off the pitch. Only a few folk can do that and not look very ordinary. Extremely fast reactions. Superb hands.

Matt Campbell looks good. Nice leftie. He's gone the Uni route though.
Scratch golfer, extremely talented young man.

If he'd been playing cricket for the last few years instead of messing about with golf in America he'd probably be really good. As it stands he looks pretty talented much like Johnathan although I'm not convinced either of them will ever be spectacular or go to the next level required for international cricket. We'll see. Jono really needs a big year in particular.
