2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Regional Final
Re: 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Regional Final
Great to see Collins Obuya still dominating, surely one of the greatest Associate players of the last 20 years?!
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Now that we are at the halfway point of the comp I have put together a team of the tournament so far, see how much it changes towards the end. Only 2 Zimbabweans
Van Lingen (Namibia)
Davin (Namibia)
Obuya (Kenya)
Erasmus (Namibia) - Captain
Karim (Kenya) - Wicket keeper
Raza (Zimbabwe)
Riazat Ali Shah (Uganda)
Ramjani (Uganda)
Ngarava (Zimbabwe)
Lungameni (Namibia)
V Patel (Kenya)
That opening partnership has been ruthless, no way I could separate them, so I have put Collins at 3. Erasmus as captain, karim as keeper, both pick themselves.
Ali Shah, Raza and Ramjani have been excellent allrounders, then Ngarava and Lungameni as the seam bowlers with Vraj as the main spinner.
Quite a decent side if they were combined!

All hopes on Kenya then today. Very unlikely but not Impossible. Cannot believe that Zimbabwe have got into this mess. Disaster awaits if there is another WC missed out.
Dave and some senior players will almost certainly be gone and the next ICC event that Zimbabwe can hope to be a part of will be in 2026.

I don’t know why but Namibian players look quite unfit. Even the likes of Smit and Frylinck who have been quite fit over the last few years for them and important players. They need to get in shape before this

Finally...
Uganda will play in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Not Zimbabwe...
Very very painful and pathetic.
This is 3rd Time, Zimbabwe not able to qualify in Cricket world cups(ODI and T20).
Actually, Zimbabwe don't deserve if we are considering Namibia and Uganda performance

Zimbabwe cricket at the lowest at their performance.
Afg, Bangladesh, Namibia, Ireland, Scotland, Uganda are started playing since last 20 years...
They are the part of upcoming T20 World Cup.
No hope from Zimbabwe.
Blaming on worldcup format or pitches are not valid

Are you one of these bored Indian blokes who just sign up to random cricket forums because they can’t get pussy and are scared to talk to people in real life?chetanpatel1981 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:22 amFinally...

Word is going around in the cricketing World now and a 'casual' fan is realizing what has happened, basically Zimbabwe, the only test playing nation, are missing out in a 20 team WC. In India a lot of my friends are realizing this now... Some are asking me (knowing I'm a cricketing freak) how did this happen!?
