Yeah the Dutch are a real deal team. I was shocked when I saw they had 3 guys bowling at 140 clicks...but more than the pace it was the skill. 10-15 years ago, as Associate bowling lineup would consist of a couple of 125-130 bowlers, and maybe the odd guy who could get it up to 135 when he bent his back. Now even the Associates have guys cranking it up to 140 clicks and some even crossing 90 mph. Sensational stuff.

That's just hypothetical now, and you are basing that based on what you have seen of India, Ireland and Nepal. The fact is that on the field, every match starts off on even footing and Nepal has as much a chance of beating anyone else in top 20-30 teams than the other.
Just looked up the stats, turns out you are correct. Nepal, Uganda, and Oman have won 7 out of 27 matches vs Ireland, Scotland, and Netherlands.

Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands have only won 3 out of 26 games vs England-India-Australia-New Zealand.

So the gap between a ~20th ranked side like Oman and Ireland is smaller than that between Ireland and India, for example.

I see Coltart is gunning them on twitter for being a pick up side. He's one of those- u have to be born there brigade.

If you have citizenship and meet the Icc and Dutch board criteria then what's the problem?

I think if the Irish Scottish and Dutch select their best teams the likes of Oman, Uganda and Nepal will struggle. I can't help feeling they've gone up a notch as well.

The Netherlands team in particular are a power side.

Considering that 6 out of 15 Dutch players in their squad are active county players I don't think it's much of a surprise. This is the great equaliser in tournaments for the Netherlands and Scotland. I wonder given Ireland's experience and the probable rise of T20 cricket as the main format whether these 2 teams even want to be full members. Why risk losing your star players to county cricket when you become a full member and not even get the test matches or blockbuster fixtures anyway?

And I think only 4 of those Dutch players were born in the Netherlands but rules are rules. Raza wasn't born in Zimbabwe and I think Andy Flower was born in Cape Town. Its a common thing in this sport.

I just think with the way the game is evolving we will probably start seeing 6 month T20 calenders. If not even longer. The whole domestic player/ overseas player rule will kill international cricket.

I had heard this rumour a while back but didn't want to mention because it's not cool but it seems to be official now- Chakabva is staying in Australia to play club cricket and won't be returning with the team
Not sure what that means exactly.

I had heard it was Wellington doing this. So maybe he is too? Or someone told me the wrong name

Not sure what it means for Regis and his immediate future.

Ya could absolutely be more than one player.
They could pull a move like that u19 team and 5 could abscond into the Outback

Apart from the North South thing there's no more 50 over cricket here except club and we're heading into qualifiers.
Once again they haven't thought this through. Maybe ZC are happy with this move
