They did a press conference with the 4 captains today ahead of the playoffs. One of the journos put it to Uprising that 'your star players like Ervine and Burl' only turn up when they 'feel like it' and dont bother playing most of the time compared to the other national players.

Played with a straight bat by captain Jongwe.
Also of interest was that host Tino mentioned that the HSC square has been relaid?

Who captains each team?

Quite nicely put together. Hopefully people come and watch.
I see Naqvi gets an honorary mention.

If they're playing on a new deck it's going to be very interesting. It surely is going to misbehave? Their 200 plus predictions I'd think are unlikely.

Going forward they need to put some rules in place.
They have Vigne Cup with top 8 (?) teams qualifying for NPL which then includes clubs from outside of Harare, but there are a couple of really poor teams amongst that lot and good players then miss out on much needed T20 time.
T20 lends itself to having more teams in the comp, means more games, which is what we all desperately need.

The issue is that there's now a scramble for spots in the NPL sides by players that were in club sides that didn't qualify. They need to be stricter with club registrations.
The problem is that Takashinga essentially has 3 teams that they could and do chop and change at will. Their player pool is about as big as all the other teams combined.
I'm not sure how they get the enjoyment they do from finishing at the top and giving themselves a big pat on the back when they have everything so skewed in their favor, but they manage

They had Maunze and Kaia for Takashinga, Mufandauya Gladiators and Jongwe for Uprising.

But each side has used multiple captains so far

Bennett, Navqi and nick welch all had good innings today. I was particularly pleased to see Ryan Kawemba the under 19 player facing up to chivanga and ngarava. That will do him world of good before he jets off next year.
Musikewa had some lovely shots also reminiscent of chigumbura in his prime. He is also one for the future

My money is on uprising to go all the way, considering Burl and Ervine play the remaining games. They've also got mpofu in and he took 4 wickets
