Re: Domestic Transfers
maybe they'll sign the overseas players during the T20's coz if chigz, price & kj go on national duty we wud be screwed.
Re: Domestic Transfers
I haven't heard of any tranfers in the Rhinos camp..whats happening?
Re: Domestic Transfers
Very happy about this, that is, if my reading of it is "re-signed for" rather than "resigned from".zimfan1 wrote: Paul Horton has resigned for the Tuskers

Re: Domestic Transfers
Good for Mark! Would've been nice to have the national team players involved though. I hope they feature in the Logan Cup games to follow no Monday.

Re: Domestic Transfers
It looks like ther has been 11 domestic transfers - all of them including the Rocks:-
Southern Rocks
In
P.Masvaure (Eagles)
D.Ebrahim (unattached)
M.Vermeulen (Mountaineers)
R.Butterworth (Eagles)
T.Panyangara (Mountaineers)
T.Mupariwa (Tuskers)
T.Muzarabani (Rhinos)
Out
S.Raza (Eagles)
S.Marillier (Rhinos)
S.Matsikenyeri (Eagles)
C.Ervine (Tuskers)
E.Chigumbura (Eagles)
N.Waller (Eagles)
Looks like the Rocks have swapped 4 for 4 in the batting line-up and beefed up the seam bowling department. With Mahwire, Vitori and Chinouya already there I would expect to see another departure (Chinouya back to the Rhino's??). The still look weak in the spinning department a switch for one of the 3 Mountaineers spinners would have been good for Zim Cricket.
Otherwise the Eagles have strengthened considerably, I would expect to see an overseas opener brought in (Compton), the other squads have just had minor alterations. At the risk of starting a hare running does the departure of Mupariwa from the Tuskers signal oportunities for Enwerem, the coming of Aliseni or an overseas seamer?
I also hope Beukes does not return to the Mountaineers as the limited journeyman type overseas player does not strengthen Zim Cricket and all he did last year was retard the development of Kasuza, Chirimuuta and Mawudzi. The Rhino's will need another seamer.

That is a very shrewd signing for the Eagles.aydee wrote:Apparently this is the Eagles' squad:

Let us all hope Matsi has a great season and gets back into the national side.
Imagine a top order of Tino, Vusi, Hammie, Matsi.
Brill.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

Tino, Vusi, Hammie, Matsi. Hmm...which one of these is not like the others?
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
Re: Domestic Transfers
Mike Chinouya has returned to the Rhino's:-

So it's 6 in 6 out for the Rocks. The destiny of Greg Lamb is now the big question; my guess would be the Rhino's.
