The biggest issue is the lack of a power hitter at 6/7/8. Burl hase not nailed down that spot, are we expecting too much of Evans to challenge for at spot?
Didnt Burl nail it down with those innings against BD?

What an innings from Tiripano today, he definitely needs to give up on the bowling now and be considered as a batsmen.

He won’t play for Zimbabwe again but will be useful to have him around the young players in the a side.
I think he might still be useful in specific formats as a lower order batsman who can bowl a bit. For example I think he actually could bat in our top 7 for tests if Regis is keeping. I would trust him over somebody like Wes or Burl in a test match if I'm being honest. I also think he played a big, attacking knock in Bangladesh a few years ago.

I would actual bet money that a number 7 and 8 combo of Tiripano and Wellington would score more runs in a test against Afghanistan than Wes and Burl if they played this year.
Well he’s getting to the point where he can’t bowl at all. Not even 1 over. He was shite again yesterday. I honestly think there are 30+ better bowlers in the country than him now. There are club, school and juniors who bowl with more venom and skill these days. His bowling decline is extraordinary. Wes, Burl, even Shumba I’d be more confident bowling ( I know they are spinners, but still).

So you’re playing him as a genuine specialist batter, and he would need to be in the top six for that. Considering all our other options, I’m not sure picking a 34-year old Tiripano ahead of all our other younger options is wise. Especially as we probably have 4 batters retiring in the next 12-18 months as it is.

Masuku looks like he's added a bit of pace. Used to be proper military medium but is bowling with a bit of oomph now

I would have the following line-up for T20 qualifiers

1)Shumba
2)Kaitano
3)Chakabva
4)Ervine
5)Williams
6)Raza
7)Burl
8)Jongwe
9) Wellington or Masara
10)Muzarabani
11)Ngarava

12th Wesley Madhevere, 13th Munyonga, 14th T Chivanga, 15th B Evans, 16th C Madande

I`d rather have Chakabva up first. Need your best batters playing as many balls as possible. Especially in case Shumba keeps getting out early putting pressure on the lineup

Right now I'd go with;

1 Chakabva
2 Ervine
3 Williams
4 Madhevere / Madande
5 Shumba
6 Raza
7 Burl
8 Jongwe / Evans
9 Masakadza
10 Ngarava
11 Blessing

But it's good that we've got lots of senior/A fixtures lined up plus NPL - plenty of time for some of those on the fringes to get in.

Wes was looking good until an absolutely dreadful attempted switch hit where he ended up falling over
