Zimbabwe XI to Play South Africa "A"

I think we just need to see it as a chance for the youngsters to show that they can compete at a higher level than domestic cricket of a series of matches.

Just like the "A" team tours by South Africa and Australia in 2011 before our return to test cricket. If Wes, Shumba, Kataino can perform over a series of matches it will give them a lot of confidence.

In reality, this will be the best opposition we will play over the few months.

I see we play the 50 overs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Surely play on the weekend so we get a few people watching? It's hard to fathom some of these decisions.
If we had lights we could have had some T20 mid week at night.

Ya eyes will be on Kaitano, Shumba and Madhevere for sure. Madhevere has not kicked on in domestic league as I thought he would, which is a worry, he should have churned out runs with his ability.

Where are Williams and Ervine?
We're about to get a glimpse of cricket post Williams, Ervine and Taylor. Months of domestic cricket and then suddenly some really tough opposition. Let's hope our lads surprise us by stepping up.
I'm looking forward to seeing Gerald Coetzee, watched him as a schoolboy at St John's T20 and he was bloody excellent.

John Ward has mentioned Williams has some 'health issues'. No idea about Ervine - nobody seems to know. Regis had a broken hand, is hoping to be available for the Namibia series. Ngarava has an injury too.
