Bishnoi's second spell hasn't been as good. He's bowled it wider and slightly shorter. But ya they've dealt with him a bit better. Dube's bowling is pretty rank and they're also dealing with him.

Myers has a big issue with his hands. Far too hard, going to make it very difficult to consistently rotate the strike.

If Zimbabwe's top order does well then definitely they will win a lot more games.

Almost everytime the lower order does well but top order keeps collapsing.

As expected keeping Burl out of the squad looks more and more idiotic with every game.

Myers second big shot in 45 deliveries? Good one as well.
50 up for him, but he has not shown the intent he should have. Just making the loss look respectable.

I'm perplexed. Throwing his hands at everything when they need 12 runs per delivery? Maybe it's a maths problem?
He's sealed his spot for the next decade.
He's a good player and has potential, I'm not arguing that.
For me I'd have preferred him to have gone out swinging on 30.
Madande's strike rate was good but that was courtesy of two long hops, prior to that he was 25 off 25.
If they learn from it it's not a waste, but as far as I'm concerned they should have gone hard earlier...or tried to.

Well at least I can say so far the new generation is at the point where if Raza comes off, we bowl decently and also field well they will pull off a few victories. That’s not that bad actually because it’s not like the previous generation was much better. Williams and Ervine would not have scored at a significantly better rate than what Myers did if we are being honest.

We just need Raza to pick up some form like in 2022. This Indian C team can be beaten. If we are lucky we could sneak in another victory but 1 is probably what we all expected.

Really want to see how Naqvi does because the likes of Maru and Wes are struggling big time.

I wouldn’t mind if we settle into something like

Raza
Bennett
Naqvi
Myers
Burl
Campbell
Madande

By the end of the year.

Very disappointing to say the least. I was OK with the thrashing in the last game, that was bound to happen in one of the games, but it cannot happen in all the 4 games.

I hope they pull up their socks and do better in the last 2 games. Just one more win and I'll be very happy.

In my opinion the glass is half full.

An "only" 23 runs defeat against India is something not to ditch at all.

I'm glad for the rotation of good performing players. Today Myers, 65 not out, is just one run short of Gill, top runs scorer today.
After disastrous previous performance, today's Myers bears witness that the more THIS Zimbabwe plays the more competitive it becomes.

Googly the game was gone when they were 5 down for almost nothing. I don't blame Myers here. They eventually made this very respectable and such knocks can give you immense confidence. Even as a team you start to belive that we are not that far.

You simply cannot have an opener getting out 1st Or 2nd over all the time. Marumani and Kaia have been pathetic. They could try Nick Welch and I think he will do far better. Kaia, Marumani, K-long, Gumbie have all been failures.. They've got to give Welch a longer run and then see how he goes.

I don't know what's the update on Naqvi but if he gets the nod from the ICC then I'm dead sure he will strengthen the team and will do well.

I'm sorry but the "big" partnership between Madande and Myers looks great on paper and will have everyone wiggling with delight about what the future holds, but they let the game slowly slip away. They had to play some shots much earlier on to try and keep the rate to 10.
That 6 of Myers showed he can hit a good delivery but he was happy to nudge it around until we needed 12 a ball.
He gets a pass because he's new and that was a great confidence builder for him, but in the context of the game it was poor. If he was an established player in a good team that would have had the coaching staff more than glaring at him, instead he was being high fived.

obviously the bowling is good (wasn't actually as good at the back end) and it's tough to get them away, but the fact remains they should have played more shots.

The only way to deal with Bishnoi if he's bowling well is to try and run twos and basically see him off. He's not easy to score a boundary off, but the others are mere mortals.

That wasn't an Indian C team per se. That was basically a full IPL team. Some sharp players in there.

Whatever Burl's performances have been like, and they've mostly been quite mediocre of late, he's one of our better players. I think they'll keep him out for a bit and hope someone fills his spot adequately but I don't see that happening.
Who will be dropped for Knackers?
It will either be Madhevere or Maru I would think, but they could drop Campbell. Who knows what they'll do. I think they only know themselves after 2 bottles of Johnny Walker green.

If Salmon hasn't hasn't negotiated a decent say in the selection process he's going to be swimming upstream for his entire tenure. It would be worth checking if our "selectors" ever place any bets
