It's dark in Harare. Bulawayo must be a different time zone.
Mavuta doing his best to go out. Doesn't know how to leave

How the fuck do you go off for light. Discuss for 5 minuted and then come back on when it is actually dark?

If Naqvi is now playing for some sort of Zim side does that mean his papers were approved by the ICC now? Did Frost have to get approval too? I wonder how it all works because I don’t think they were picking Naqvi for any Zim team before although he was training with them
Naqvi played for Zim A and Zim U25 before.

Nothing for Frost to get approved for. He was born here and has a passport.

Well all in all a decent day for us. If we can put on another 50 tomorrow we will be looking ok.

Maybe what I thought was reverse was the new ball?
I thought the new ball was only given at 90 overs?

Anyway tomorrow with a bit of early morning juice in the pitch Mavuta will have to play well to survive.
He just has no plan with leaving the ball.

In response to Googly I would imagine that matt Welch will be in a zimbabwe representative side by years end. He is just too good to be left out. I'm a big fan myself 😃

Antum has the goods. We all knew it. Besides drinking zimbabwe bowlers around in logan cup you had the best of the qualanders academy he faced a few times. Lad is class.
When the young South African bowler rook his 4th wicket you could see that Navqi changed gears and dropped anchor for a few overs. He knew he would run out of gas eventually and they would have to change bowlers and then he started to play his shots again. Mature!

Ok so that delay was Naqvi getting "treatment" to wind the clock down.
New ball was taken at 80 overs, obviously that accounted for the last tricky 8 overs in poor light.

Mavuta just needs to hang around for another 10 overs with Naqvi and they'll be batting on another flattie.
That was annoying watching him play at the new ball and not leaving it, how many 4 day games has he played? Lucky to still be there. He's an experienced cricketer now and needs to take some responsibility.

If they get over 350 we're in with a shout. 400 and we only bat once.
I think the sledging from our boys when the Quota Eleven bat is going to be nasty. If you get on top of these guys they fold, seen it many times at age group level. All hat and no cattle!

So does anyone know what is happening with his eligibility?

This was a real statement innings from him today, you can tell that he is a fiery character. Feel guys like Welch and Naqvi would add some bite to the national side.

Blessing and Richie can give it out a bit but none of the young batters have it in them.
