I don't think the wicket ball wasn't the most threatening of his spell, but the strange angle I reckon was definitely putting some doubt in the minds of the batsmen.maehara wrote:So much for the "nothing to worry the right-handers" part of the pitch report, then...brmtaylor.com admin wrote:He has looked really threatening to the right handers coming around the wicket on such a wide angle.
This is a dangerous combination, Ashraful and Shakib. Jarvis is starting to look a bit wayward and down on pace compared to yesterday and it looks like Taylor has just introduced Mpofu, but I'd like to see Price on now. Attack the batsmen like last night with a few slips and guys close in.
It's nice to see the guys are chirpy in the field too, a lot of encouragement being given to the bowlers.

Jarvis has been unlucky so far but he's certainly not done anything to justify his inclusion over Meth, even his "pace" has been relatively low. BIG selection mistake and we're paying for it-this was always a no brainer.

Yep, we need to take the pace off the ball. To be fair, a lot of the fours have come from mis-hits, but take the pace off the ball and it should take that out of the equation.Jemisi wrote:I think Price has to come on and slow these guys down.
Bring Price on!

I thought Taylor would actually be resting his quicks with 15 to the new ball ... all the more readon for Price let alone the run rate...and 10 over spells yesterday didnt do our quicks any favours...its a learning curvebrmtaylor.com admin wrote:Yep, we need to take the pace off the ball. Shakib & Mushfiq can be very stubborn. If we get them out just after lunch we have a chance to wipe out the tail with the new ball due in about 12 ovaz

Safe to say Mpofu will not have the new ball due in 5 overs...he's continuing...so Vitori and Jarvis hope they use it properly.
