CONGRATULATIONS
Charles "Chappie" Kevin Coventry
on maiden century in just 15th match. Awesome stuff.
It took Masakadza 70 plus ODIs. He is key man for Zimbabwean fortunes and series win. Often a under-rated player he is now starting to blossom.
Keep it up

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh
i am one of those who didnt rate him that highly, but in this series ive had a proper look at him and he has a good technique and can adapt his style of play to the situation such as today.Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:

It looks like he is very commited to Zimbabwe cricket at the moment so looks like we have found our number 3

Bangla fans asking-
"Zim will again go near to 300 - 13 overs left, Chigumbura is yet to bat.
Is Zim getting better or we are getting crap?"
We are better guys...much better...see this 6666666666

I still don't think he's a number three by any stretch of the imagination on anything other than complete roads. He's not anywhere near good enough against the quicks for that; I'm sure we'll find this out the hard way. That said, he's proven here that he deserves a run in the side.

Nice work from Coventry and Matsikenyeri. Need them at the end and am sure 320+ is on the cards.

compared to the over options he is the best we haveCribbage wrote:I still don't think he's a number three by any stretch of the imagination on anything other than complete roads. In the team? At three? I do not agree. I'd much rather see Taylor, Williams or (eventually) Taibu batting there. It's fine to bat him there in this series because the Bangladesh pace attack is neither good not plentiful and the pitches are essentially not fit for cricket, but his technique against the quicks would make him a sitting duck at three in most circumstances.
I'm not trying to take anything away from the innings as such; it has been excellent. I just think people need to calm down and take it into perspective before claiming we've found our #3. I think what we've found is our #6.
