Brendon Taylor would normally be the leading run scorer and was the glue that held Zimbabwe together. when he scored big others played around him and even a middling score from the others was enough to stay competitive
Now he has gone and we are undone
No papering over the cracks we need to start again with new blood and disaffected players re-engaged
and for the 12th ranked side in the world to be having quota systems ( if true) is ridiculous. Zimbabwe cannot afford to be like this we have fallen so far already.

I think Ntini loves a good quota but surely not in Zim anymore. South Africa is the next domino to fall to the raging force of quotas. And it began wobbling a year ago. The sad part is, Mbalula and co wont even care/notice that the country's cricket and rugby are ranked 10th.

There very few wins even in the Taylor era against full strength sides, couple against the Windies, one against Pak...and the rest against Ban. Difference is since Taylor has left, Zim are now being dominated by Associates and third string Indian outfits.jimbo wrote:Brendon Taylor would normally be the leading run scorer and was the glue that held Zimbabwe together. when he scored big others played around him and even a middling score from the others was enough to stay competitive

Taylor gave the opposition a player to fear. Who does anyone fear now? Ervine, Hammy, Williams can be dangerous on their day, but how often does that day come around? Once a year? Taylor would make most other international lineups, none of our current guys would make the cut, except maybe Cremer as worldclass spinners are a rare breed.
