There's a bit of deja vu about this.

Remember how Vitori was unleashed on BD when he debuted, and he caught them off-guard because they'd never seen him before.
Fast forward to now, and he gets included in the team for the tournament final when he's not even in the squad. SL wouldn't have put any preparation time into him at all, and it's shown... some of his wickets were absolute beauties.

He truly is a strike bowler. As evidenced by 2 of his 3 wickets being an LBW and a clean bowled, both of which swung a bit and were both quick. He actually gets wickets, whereas some of our other seamers more or less rely on the batsman making a mistake.

There is a lot of difference between :

Vitori in the presence of Streak

Vitori in the without Streak

In 2013, he was looking threat similar like today.

I'm sorry but BV is chucking. He may have been cleared but that's his old delivery and it will be a miracle if he doesn't get called again. I now know why millions have fled Zimbabwe, it's less to do with politics and more to do with the absolute drivel that's ZBC TV. They make us pay radio and TV licenses under police harassment for the most amateurish crap I've ever seen.

Will you elaborate? Sounds like a good story there.

I remember the first day I watched ZBC, it was certainly something special. The first thing was some local cartoon which looked like it was made using clipart on a Windows 98 computer (I think it was something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA8b8uu731A but I can't remember the name), and then the news bulletin came on. I think there's definitely a drinking game to be had in the number of times the term "Racist Rhodesian government" is thrown around.

We all drive through 15-20 road blocks a day. Rumour has it that the cops have a daily target because salaries are short. Many of rhese roadblocks are also manned by 2-5 ZBC licensing officers checking that you've paid your radio license. I don't know anybody who has listened to the radio in years. The TV is 90% live music shows of the most appalling quality and content, black and white Chinese kung fu movies, propogandist news and talk shows and the odd lassie and little house on the prairie. They come house to house checking TV licenses. I don't let them in, I make them return with the police. Last time I had to pay for an old TV in my garage. Dstv is at an all time low as well.
