Lol, didn't mean to hurt mate! 😄
That's what they all say

I think what you're all saying is true, qualifying for the 2018 CWC certainly seems like it should have been easier than the 2023 edition. The Windies were the only historically big side in the tournament, whilst the likes of Ireland, Netherlands and pretty much everyone else have gotten a lot stronger.

But as I said, during the last edition Zimbabwe didn't have many players in any real good form apart from Raz & BT, so if our boys are firing this time around that's a huge plus despite the rise in quality of the other participants.
The bottom line mate is that the ICC sucks for making this a 10 team event. There are 14 teams deserving to be a part of this WC and at least 4 of them will feel they are hard done by.

Kyle coetzer retires. Another shocker for Scotland after retirement of Callum McLeod this year .

Very important game of srilanka going on right now . Only they have realistic chance of moving ahead of southafrica if they beat NZ in all the three games

Sri Lanka's crushing defeat today at the hands of a depleted NZ team has further dented their confidence and chances of making the WC directly.

I feel SL are more so vulnerable than WI. I like them, they are a very good side but atm nothing seems to be going right for them.

SL & Windies are definitely beatable if we get the right conditions & play well. Just as we are definitely capable of losing to the Dutch, Irish & Scottish in their day as well.

The last edition of this tournament was really good and I think this one will be even better.

In some ways I’m glad Zimbabwe are in this tournament as it one of the few times we ever see them play in a tournament we’re they’re a realistic chance of achieving something significant.

If we do make the World Cup, we’d be very much making up the numbers are hoping for one upset win to say it was a good tournament.

Why was the tourament cut back to 10 teams? One of the good things about the WC was seeing upset victories from associates against the big boys. They are good enough for the T20 WC, but not the 50 over version ODIx :?

The qualifiers are going have more drama than the actual world cup itself  because all the teams playing are very capable of collapsing. Far less predictable

The idea is to make more money by having more games involving India, Australia and England and also have more 'competitive' games.

They took this decision long back though, I think it was after the 2015 WC, but later they realized the need to go back to 14 teams, which will be the case for the 2027 and 2031 WCs.

USA with a massive win vs Namibia today in the playoff. Should guarantee we finish in the top two and book our ticket to ZIM.

I’d love to see USA and Canada go through. Will be exciting.
