Hamilton has all but ensured my prediction's dismissal, thankfully. That part of reverse curse worked

It's obvious batting is more of a problem for Zimbabwe than bowling. I dream for some consistent top order batsmen

It's a really good pitch for 3 day cricket because a result is virtually assured. It's got a lot of life in it. Even the good Aussie batters had a tough time on it against our medium pace, and they have a star studded batting line up. My apologies to Jarvis, he's more than medium, he's a great athlete and has much potential. I'd say the difference between him and the Aussie openers is about 5kph and they seem to be getting a bit more swing. Hammy looks in good touch, he was dabbing some throat high stuff deftly down to 3rd today, which indicates he's going good because he's often a bit heavy handed. What a magnificent ground!!!! Doug Higgins really is a master groundsman, he's turned Country Club into the best ground in the country in a year. The HSC main decks, numerous nets and outfield are now very poor. Well done ZC, another winner. I know it's not your fault, you have no money, no plan and no idea.

Jarvis? Pat Cummins is really quick. He's a lot more than just 5k faster than Jarvis if I'm doing the math right. Regardless, ZIM have proved that they have really good bowling especially in their own backyard. This is a really strong AUS A side, albeit their main side is quite mediocre at the moment.Googly wrote:It's a really good pitch for 3 day cricket because a result is virtually assured. No secret Hammie is the key today but hopefully Maruma and Chigs can make sum crucial runs
Maruma creates a lot of diverse discussions with an impressive 1st class record he has plenty of admirers but there are still plenty of questions surrounding his technique and whether it can hold up on the international scene with the Aus A attack "test quality" and on a lively pitch he has a good chance to earn some respect
Maybe the pitch might settle down abit on day 3 ???

Excellent stand of 67 runs between HM and Jarvis comes to an end. Looks good for the Indian series, HM's form. And Jarvis, well, what can he not do?

someone remind again why Maruma is in the team ??

Chatara has now outscored each of Vusi, Raza, BT, and Elton in this match ... and has just hit his second of the innings.

He has also out scored Warner in both his innings. Eat that AB!foreignfield wrote:Chatara has now outscored each of Vusi, Raza, BT, and Elton in this match ... and has just hit his second of the innings.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

The guys will be better for the hit out; I'd expect we'd do much better with the bat against India. As poor as the Australian squad is right now, it's the batting that's the problem. There is a lot of competition for spots among the Australian bowlers, and there's a lot of bowling talent in Australia.
Not a bad effort from Jarvis with the bat; he's really solidifying his nickname of Kyle "Tino "Rahul "The Wall" Dravid" Mawoyo" Jarvis
He was the clear stand out performer in this match. 7 wickets and 54 runs, very well done.
Good to see Mushangwe pick up a couple. Cremer is still number one in my books though. I think he has the potential to be world class, and I rate his batting highly as well.
