50 for Mire...he's definitely been the find of the series from our perspective.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Great stuff from Mire
I like the look of him. For once, could Zimbabwe be benefiting from another country developing a player? I guess his formative years were spent in Zim, but playing a few years in Australia including being in a BBL environment has surely helped his development.

I do take the point that Sibanda has a great technique and is one of the best batsmen in the country. I just think as you have pointed out his international average is going down series after series. He cant be played as he has potential anymore. I think that you would be better with an Ervine at this time.
Fully understand no centuries as well. Like everyone here I just want the cricket to improve and for the national side to win more games. I think maybe a younger lad could have benefited playing against Bangladesh to try and push for Sibandas place.
Lets be fair, if a burl, welch, mamhiyo came into the national side and averaged 25/26 in a series its not a failure. Also if he averaged less than that it would just be like having Sibanda in the team!
Also im loving Solomon Mire!

That's just hopeless team management. Why wasn't the powerplay taken. Now in about 2 overs it will need to be taken with a new batsman at the crease. Hopeless, I predicted this would happen about 5 overs ago.

This exact situation happened with Chari - but he came in an averaged 7.GregorPJ wrote:I think maybe a younger lad could have benefited playing against Bangladesh to try and push for Sibandas place.

But you have to select the right player to do this with. Chari was the wrong player
