It’s also irresponsible to be asking Wes and Maru play - less than 48 hours since they played India, with a long haul flight in between? They even made Maru keep wicket for 50 overs!!!

No other serious setup would treat their players and give them a workload like that.

That’s just bad management.

They've had months to plan and yet go with no batsmen.
They probably realised this morning.
We just don't deserve this level of indifference and ineptitude.
Wait for the tales of players daily allowances.

There is no point in all these tours, incoming and outgoing unless they have the right players and coaches. If you're around 25 and not a top player you're never going to be. Absolutely zero chance.
They're just giving guys an unpaid "holiday"
The lack of thought behind this is numbing.
Above all it's embarrassing for us.
We need admin and coaches that are capable of embarrassment, it would solve a lot of problems.

Muzondo and nyamhuri are going to try to grimly bat out as much overs as they can by looks of it

News of this result will get around. We won't play one decent side. There's not a County academy side that wouldn't batter this team.
I think our bowlers will learn something, but I don't see our batters being in long enough to take anything from it.

Batting long to make the loss more palatable. We've seen this movie for 20 years

Nyamhuri looks decent with the ball. Saw he got a few to fly through. He is the one to watch bowling wise. Maposa has a bit of gas also

Is it Tinotenda or Tawanda Maposa? Tino is the better prospect but hasn't been playing NPL or anything recently.

Less than 12 months ago ZC gave scholarships and paid for the following 8 players to go and live at the Qalanders high performance Academy in Pakistan for 4 months.

Tino Maposa, Tawanda Maposa, Davis Murwendo, Alex Falao, Bright Phiri, Marshal Takodza, Tanu Makoni, Lennox Chando

Only two are involved in this squad or the various U25 stuff we've seen back home in recent months.

Such a scattergun approach to development. Absolutely no plan at all.
