Murungus bossing it raza is the shocker, that’s a poor average.
Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
Marumani has played 1 less FC game than Burl. Burl had a 7 year head start. In fact Burl averages about 3 FC games a year. I don't know how this happened but it's not a good look.
Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
When are the Regional squads going to be announced? If at all.
I've been following the Danielsson Mawoza argument on X.
Here's my 10c worth. Why have Regionals after 1 week of cricket?
Judging from what Mawoza says about Vinny they're not going to go on current form. So what form are they basing it on? Last year's?
Look we're giving you a trial because you played really well a year ago.
Raza has joined the fray and stated NPL form means nothing either. Again doesn't make sense when Takashinga fielded the national bowlers 4 times and got badly fucked up 4 times by the NW, MW, Burl and Williams.
Why have the NPL? Who's been given even a franchise gig off the back of a good NPL season?
Form is only important if a Chosen One happens to be in form. Stats don't mean anything here because only 4 people have any stats worth mentioning and one of them keeps getting ignored
Why not pick the national side straight up. Same tired guys they always pick, then pick a side of in-form players to beat them resoundingly in 2 warm up games?
I don't know why Raza, Mawoza and Co feel they have to justify their biased selections. Nobody believes them except for the handful of trolls and ghost accounts

Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
Good on Vinny, but should we be worried that our batters fell to spin like that? With Pakistan and Afghanistan up next.
Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
Well the real concern should be that they're picking a squad from 2 games and then will have a net or two and then we get fucked up.
Surely be in camp with the right 15/16 players, practicing hard, working on playing pace and spin, fielding practice etc etc.
It's the usual shambles.
It's not funny though, it's bloody tragic.

Matt Campbell has got a franchise gig after a good NPL. Jayden Schaden to a certain extent as well, he didn't get a look in at the Rocks.Googly wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 7:02 pmWhen are the Regional squads going to be announced? If at all.

Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
To be fair, I agree with Raza on that pathway to the National team. It just lacks implementation I guess, but that really should be the path, with a few exceptions but still not skipping more than one step. Really hope that this generation follows the path and get rewarded when it’s due. This culture would really bolster the competitiveness of the domestic setup.
Re: Planning for future Pakistan and Afghanistan series
Basing it on who has form for being Raza’s mate
Winning formula.
