Really lacking a strike bowler here, Chatara or Jarvis or Cremer or Blessing .....

I'd be giving Mumba another shot here, he might just make something happen
I was watching Donald bowl this morning and I’ve turned on him. I want him gone.
I watched him and his bowling.
He just jogged in slowly and don’t think he was bowling more than 120.
I don’t want that.
He looked like he was casually giving someone balls in the net.
No intent.
No hunger.
No pace.
No venom.
No passion.

Can he bat? Sure, by tail ender standards. He has fight there.
But his bowling is sub par.

I only want to see him after three or four pace injuries or if he can genuinely hold a bat in our top 7 on pure merit alone.

And Nyauchi, If Regis, a mediocre keeper, can bat up the stumps on him, what’s that say for his ability?

These guys can’t even get the ball to carry to slips off a nick. No point of them then.

The runs have dried up and the wickets have dried up, was it a smart move from Williams to use the heavy roller ? Did that compact the pitch and made it solid?

Should he have left the pitch as it was?

May be give the ball to Maruma and let them free their arms!

Give Masvaure a bowl let him bowl a few

It's hard to hate Tiripano because he tries so hard and he does everything well, except takes wickets. He holds a bat well, fields well, keeps the bowling tight, but he just can't take wickets, his Test average is terrible.

He is being picked as a front line top 3 pace bowler and needdd to perform as one.

His batting only comes into play when up against a similar bowler, such as Nyauchi.

His batting isn’t good enough on its own. So he’s neither here nor there.

I’d tolerate his bowling part time.
He needs to be Ben Stokes not Pat Cummins.

Just expanding that thought.

Tiripano only needs to be as good as the Symbol to open the batting for us. He would need to improve, but not by a hell of a lot.

If he can transform himself into an opening batsman averaging 30, it would mean we could take some serious experiments in our team. His bowling would offset the top guys (meaning they can run in hard and fast) and we can afford to give someone like Wes Madhevere a good extended shot.

:W:

The good news is SL cannot win from here. So we've achieved that at least.

I'd say it's 60/40 in favour of a draw at the moment, because who knows what the light situation would be. I thought 5 wickets in the final session would be achievable, but 7 will be tough.

Not impossible though! Once we get into the tail they might crumble!
