Good knock, shame he didn't get three figures. Not convinced he got bat on it either. :(

Well played kaitano. A worthwhile experiment and despite his domestic stats the. Selectors and. Rajput obviously saw something.
Don't worry too much about Kaia and Maruma. Williams ervine and sikander will be back on no time.

We also have people like madhevere and potentially Bawa coming through.

Myers shumba are the future

i think that brushed the front pad first before hitting back pad so might have missed leg stump based on front pad

Chakabva needs to start farming the strike a bit, the last three could fall pretty quickly otherwise.

It'd be great if we could somehow get through to stumps. Then we'd be in the situation of BD putting on say +150 tomorrow morning, declare at tea day 4 - then we bat 4 sessions to save the game.

if we dont get runs then 2 days of stonewalling wont mean anything

but fuck me this is boring to watch, think im starting to unferstand why people feel test cricket is for yesteryear.
Runs don't really matter at this point IMO because we can't win. But the longer we bat, the longer we delay Bangladesh's declaration tomorrow.

Need another hundred run partnership from somewhere, hopefully these two and Tiripano can keep on stonewalling - taking time out of the game whilst scoring some runs as well (we can't win but we need to bat time to make sure BD can't either). Chakabva has been a Mr Reliable for Zim in Tests for a long time (only once in his last 13 innings has he failed to get to double digits). He's a much underrated Test batsman and I'm interested what everyone here thinks - in a few years time when all of the 2000s generation of Zim batsmen have retired, where will Chakabva rate amongst Zim's all time players? He's got to be up there.
This is so true. I don't understand why a few certain people are always so determined to criticise him. Solid enough with the gloves, and averages 28 batting at number 7 for Zimbabwe. For Zim standards that is very good. It's not easy batting down the order but still achieving a decent average over a long career. A real leader in the dressing room too by all accounts. Regis deserves much more credit.

Pretty keen for this match, it's been over 8-years since Bangladesh played a Test in Zimbabwe!!!
And its been exactly that long since a Bangladesh seamer took a Test five-fer. Though I'll give one to Abu Jayed because his 4-fer vs India had an absolute sitter being dropped.
I am expecting a spinner to take 5 fer. Harare track and Mirpur track are of no difference now.
Prediction got right. 5fer for Mehidy & 4fer for Shakib. Spinners dominated

And they will dominate in the 2nd innings with more turn on offer

Only rain can save Zim

I expect 300 target for Zimbabwe, some aggressive batting and declaration 1 hour before lunch
