SL never had a chance with this total, unfortunately Zim never had a chance of bowling them out either.

Nice way to end the day- players being told that they are taking big pay cuts until October.
Was that because they didn’t win or were they saving that news in case some onfield sulking may have cost us the game.  They could have staged a sit down strike or dug up the pitch.

What happens in October that suddenly all will be back to normal? Will players get paid the arrears or are they just expected to take it with no Vaseline?

They really should have dug up the pitch. It seems to be the standard threat in Zimbabwean cricket.

How much of a pay cut though. 10% 30%?

10%??
You must be in the first world bud.
The last time we heard of such a figure was in the Rinderpest of 1897.
We’re not dealing with lightweights here.
I’d say a minimum of 30%. They may supply a small tube of lube to make it slightly less painful.

I’d say all players except Jarvis and Taylor, all groundstaff, all junior admin, junior coaches etc etc.
There will be about ten of them that may get what’s been saved tacked onto their salaries because it would be bloody stupid to actually save anything.
They will be kicking themselves for not having thought of this last month.

It’s a bit soon for the players to get bitter because they were the ones that gave them a big thumbs up a couple of months ago, they just have to believe they’re in good hands

Maybe they’ll use the savings to make another donation to an election?
