Any side with Matsi in it is automatically weaker.

Vermeulen is talented but he is a bit of a nutter.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

Vermeulen is finished as far as international cricket goes. So is Matsi.

Matsi isn't mate. If he keeps scoring runs like he has been, he'll get a re-call, despite the fact that he's not my favourite player. We need to be realistic buddy

I guess I am overrating the selectors a bit much by thinking that Matsi is done. He should be done but if Dabengwa can get a recall I guess anything is possible.

Hey 28 is pretty good for Matsi. He is into double figures.

I have stopped using FC averages and stats to gauge selections cos ZC certainly does not use them, They kind of do what I do most of them time. If I just like a particular player for some reason he makes the team even if his stats don't add up.

Mindset for today: forget about the draw, forget about the win, play selfishly, get your averages up. There's ample time to reassess at tea (if we get that far).

Early signs are promising. We're not starting to dig in from the start.
