Panyangara didn't get selected coz he is poo.
And Jarvis seems to underperform domestically which is weird for a bowler of his pace and stature.
The problem wit the import thing is we have our long term toilers- the wessels, the hortons etc. There's about two per team. And they deserve to play t20 if there good enough.
Then u have the superstars of the modern game. The gayles, the nannes. Or the sentimental favs like the harrises. These guys bring in the cash.
Next thing u know it's 5 imports to a team.
That said. Why hasn't Gillespie or streak gone out there and did their thing? Both are young enough

What, and Nel's gold? I got the impression Philander should have set out for him at Newlands too!ZIMDOGGY wrote:Panyangara didn't get selected coz he is poo.....That said. Why hasn't Gillespie or streak gone out there and did their thing? Both are young enough
It's kind of hard for Streak&Gillespie, to play alongside, then coach the same boys when they're getting peppered all over as they are. I think Grant got a brief taste of that and settled for the national batting coach role instead!

I am thinking of putting up a blog post where I make open calls on bets before the game and I will discuss with the forumuties as and when it comes out.Conant wrote:Thanks guys, its a small gift of mine.FlowerPower wrote:Great call by Conant...yep I want a few pointers from you mate...hhm wrote:Who was the MoM? Well done Mountaineers!
Conant, unbelievable, who would've thought! Let me give you another one, who will win the Test&ODI&T20 series between Zim&NZ? Zim, NZ or Rain?
I once predicted that Sulley Muntari was gonna score the first goal of the match in that semifinal againt Uruguay. He hadn't been starting in the group matches and when I saw him lining up to start just before the match, I rang up my workmates and told them Muntari was gonna score. He was 33/1.
Lol, hhm. Its good to quit while you're still ahead -- in this case I will happily abstain!!hhm wrote:

Of course where I put my money will contradict with some of the things I say here.

Hi, I have done some stats for the Stanbic Bank T20. http://www.crickiweb.com/csthome.htm.
They are fairly basic as I'm still learning the ropes. Hope you find them useful!
