17 tests 40 ODI's and 31 t20 matches over 4 years just isn't enough cricket for me, in a perfect world we would double that at least.
Breaking it down to one year
4.25 tests
10 ODI matches
7.75 t20's
22 matches total
In comparison this year Zimbabwe will have played
4 tests
12 ODI's ( plus 6 List matches v Holland )
no t20's
16 matches total ( 22 if you cant the Dutch matches )
the extra t20 matches are of no value to me so I can't see how this has put Zimbabwe in a better position. This year seems like we've had barely any cricket but on paper it's the same as what we're getting in the new FTP.
2015 was my favourite year in recent times although we didn't play any tests Zimbabwe played
32 ODI matches and
11 t20 matches
43 matches in total !!!
Yes that was a world cup year but still that's a lot of cricket

Jay as a fan it comes down to days of cricket. Each Test match adds anywhere from 2.5 to 4 extra days of cricket vs an ODI or t20.
I think more opportunities will come in the next cycle as Ireland and Afghanistan develop more of an appetite for Tests and provided they don't get promoted to the League.
I had Afghanistan as a shoo in for the League come 2023, but based on their shit batting vs Ireland in UAE conditions, I highly doubt the Afghans will be able to gain promotion so quickly. The Irish are a better batting team and might be better placed for League than Afghanistan. Just my guess.

Looks like ZC is still somewhat good with the BCCI with Zimbabwe's tour of India in March 2019 still on. Hopefully some more detail will emerge of India's new FTP starting after the 2019 World Cup and what Zim will get if anything.
2013 (5 ODIs)
2015 (3 ODIs 2 T20s)
2016 (3 ODIs 2 T20s)
.
Pakistani IN
.
March 2019 (Host Zimbabwe 3 ODIs i.e. ZIM get nothing and still get to pay for own flights, salaries, fees, allowances etc)*
*Unconfirmed!
When do Zimbabwe get to host India???
Over to you Pakistani...
More details here http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/ ... ther-ashes
I the Pakistani is still there 2 years from now and ZC not sequestrated, I'll quit ZCF

For a guy that has more bans than Maruma has Test runs, there’s a definite “you can’t fire me, I quit!” vibe to that last line!

The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!

Re: Future tour rumours
1. AFG and IRE are the new boys by the way
2. AFG have just 4 less T20Is than ZIM, while IRE have 7 more than ZIM
3. AFG will play 1 more ODI than ZIM, while IRE will play 9 more
4. That means they earn more money than ZIM, especially when they host!
5. ZIM will play 5 and 3 more Tests than AFG and IRE respectively.
6. That means ZIM's already less revenue will be further depleted by the loss-making Tests they host!
(Fair enough other sides do play less than the new boys, but that's because it's not IRE/AFG/ZIM making up their total matches so moot point)
5 years away when India do finally tour is a very very very long way away!

According to this it seems as though a full Tour to SA is on some time this year. After the nightmare of the Day/night test interesting times ahead.Mr Twig wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 12:24 amFrom the recently updated FTP:
