Batting first need to get snacks ready.

Last 3 BD-ZIM tests, team batting first has won each time (IIRC).

No 8 batsmen in Zimbabwe line up but tiripano is at 8

Myers debuts
No Chatara
Nyauchi is back

Happy with all that. Best possible squad

Incidentally all 3 teams the team winning the toss elected to field and LOST every time.

Mominul has learned the lesson it appears.

Not really happy with DT unless he bowls well and tight.

Both teams look to be near full strength. This will be Bangladesh's first tour to Zimbabwe in over 8 years. Although not part of the WTC, this series still has much meaning given the context of the long standing rivalry between these two sides. Bangladesh will feel they need to win if only to keep serious questions about their Test credentials at bay. Similarly, Zimbabwe will feel a win here will highlight their case for WTC inclusion.

Best lineup from the squads chosen:

BD: Tamim, Shadman, Shanto, Mominul, Mushfiq, Shakib, Nurul (WK), Miraz, Shoriful, Ebadat, Jayed

ZIM: Kasuza, Chakabva, C Ervine, B Taylor, S Williams, D Myers, M Shumba, Chisoro, Blessing, Ngarava, Nyauchi
3 pacers in the slow & flat deck of Harare is too much. Shoriful & Ebadat / Jayed should play. Taijul should find a spot in Playing XI. Spinners will get more help then Pacers.

Already told, Bangladesh now fields 2 pacers, earlier signs of pitch being flat, to support spinners later

A bit strange squad from Bangladesh. Only 2 seamers...must be expecting a slow track. But then Zimbabwe have 4 seamers...

Mahmudullah in, but no specialist spinner from BD. With only 2 seamers and no specialist spinner...strange to have 9 batters (including Miraz).

I'm just glad that kids like Dion Myers, Shumba and Wez Madhevere are getting recognised as the future trio from a batting perspective. They bossed the Under 19 CWC and they clearly have the talent to succeed.
Throw in Musakanda (who I think will get there) and potentially Burl and Bawa in the future and there's a healthy amount of batting talent.

I'm still very confident that Ben Curran and Nick Welch will one day don the Zimbabwe red
