Batting first we need a big total to take the Irish out of the game ( my theory anyways ) i can't see the Irish chasing too many especially if Stirling goes early …..

They can chase when they need to. See: their World Cup win over England... (Although they're missing one of the O'Brien's today, which should help avoid a repeat of that...)jaybro wrote:Batting first we need a big total to take the Irish out of the game ( my theory anyways ) i can't see the Irish chasing too many especially if Stirling goes early …..

How on earth did Maruma get selected over Waller?
I think we need to be looking at around 170. There's going to be a lot of pressure on Taylor and Masakadza to make the bulk of those runs too.

1. Surprised that Maruma plays ahead of Waller !
2. Mushangwe performed better than Kamungozi but is left out.
3. Would have had S Masakadza in place of Chatara.

Yeah but the other O'brien played a once in a lifetime innings lol …..
Just looking at their batting and the way they play I feel they like the contest tight and back themselves to come up with the big plays …...

If Maruma has to bat much we are probably defeated anyway. But far out his selection over Waller is a joke. Unless his bowling has miraculously improved.

pitch looks flat maybe a little slow ….

Typical. Go out there and just swing like no mans business. Already got 10 off the over, should have just looked to rotate strike rather than just slogging. Always our issue. Get way too ahead of ourselves.
