Alright, time to go home I suppose.
Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Afghanistan, 4th ODI
the batting is very deep with Shingi at 9, Panynagara 10 and even Tiripano 11, but they need to get going.

time for Williams to break his duck and make a big one for the team. Series on the line, queens in the afternoon, associate bowling.

Looks like Raza is hit by the Vusi syndrome of not being able to rotate the strike.

I think it's more about your natural game. I've never seen Regis, for example, walk out and express himself freely from the off.CrimsonAvenger wrote:Thats probably because most of these guys are playing for their places in the side? ...brmtaylor.com admin wrote:We're missing a batsman who just totally disrespects the opposition. Someone like a Coventry... no way would he get bogged down against Afghanistan, he'd be slotting sixes at will.
It's a shame, because Nabi and Shafiqullah and Zadran have been doing it to our bowlers.
And btw, this is looking ugly.

Wow! Our only hope of a win after Taylor's dismissal was Williams. May be it was a mistake to not drop him down the order and allow him to be the finisher later. May be, in hindsight, it was not such a good idea to rest Hammy and Chatara too. This will end very badly

I've got an answer for this one too! Chakabva vs Kenya on debut batted very freely. But I know what you're saying... the guys most capable of doing it are the Masakadza's, Taylor's and Chigumbura's and they are probably more concerned about getting a good score under their belt and spending time at the crease ahead of the upcoming series rather than dominating an associate attack.foreignfield wrote:I think it's more about your natural game. Whereas Afghanistan have nothing to lose by teeing off.
This looks like it could be a serious blow out now. Not good ahead of South Africa in a few weeks

Luckily we are a better Test team than a limited overs team I guess.
