Schadendorf was already in the mix, ya MC is one guy who benefitted. Jarryd Basson, who looked technically excellent did not
Is there a downside for established players not performing in the NPL?

I think NPL is a great thing. It's essentially compulsory club cricket. Every franchise cricketer in the country and not on national duty is obliged to play. The top teams are barely diluted, those games are a whisker off franchise cricket.
The Takashinga Rangers games were possibly a small step up from franchise cricket. The best players in a needle contest, how does that not factor in? They know it should, hence deciding to rope in Raza to talk crap because they know he's more believable than Mawoza

The whole thing about spending time dropping wisdom on Associate players was interesting.
Surely he should spend that time and more helping up and coming players in Zimbabwe , unless of course he's happy remaining the top dog in a shit team? It's possible his ego doesn't mind that. Work with a few guys who should be in the squad perhaps? He either wants the best for Zim cricket or he doesn't, there's no half way. He's too big for ZC to clip his wings. He's actually in a position to make a difference, but he takes the easy road. He doesn't fool most of the players, and they're the guys that count, not his adoring Cremora fan base.
As usual the journos don't ask the difficult questions.

He always makes it the Raza show

It’s patronising to these associates, what wisdom really could a full member who failed in the last three consecutive qualifiers and somehow ended up in the sub regional qualifiers really give? And would you take it? It would be wisdom about picking your mates and persisting with the same failed favourites, wisdom on what not to do.

He had a legitimate purple patch two years ago now and performed well against Bangladesh and India, since then it’s been down hill and associate bashing. He loves being top dog in a shit team, except he isn’t even that. Williams is the main man but flies under the radar because all he does is turn up, boss it and go home after a days work. Probably isn’t even on Instagram

Respect is earned.

The only speculation in my post is that Williams probably isn’t on Instagram  the rest is cold, hard facts,

I dunno if that's aimed at me?
I don't agree with PB at all either.
I entirely respect Raza's game, his will to win, the fact that he's essentially kept us on the map...just, and i really enjoy watching him play and obviously want him to do well, both here and abroad.
He's also a good guy.

But I stand by what I said. If he wants to leave the game here better than he found it then he could do a bit more. He's the only guy that can disagree with ZC with impunity, and as I said he could do a few coaching sessions with the better guys.
He's like BT, Ervine, Williams. They've had to work a lot of shit out for themselves and they're very good. I'm not excusing them either, whilst I'm at it.
ZC divides and rules and everyone is out for themselves.
