"Ngidi's days are numbered with Jansen there"...after taking 6/71 vs India two days ago?? You think SA is going to discard Ngidi?? Im a Jansen fan (both Marco and his twin brother) but lets not dismantle the only section of SA cricket that still works

. I didn't say he should be replaced, I said his days were numbered unless he pulled finger and got back into the same shape as he used to be.
Theyve got Abbott, De Lange, Jansen, Nortje, Rabada, Ngidi, Sipamla, Mulder amongst others.
Ngidi would struggle to make my seam attack, he'd be there on current form, just, but he'd be under pressure with a level playing field.

Jansen suffering from the classic new quick economy but he`s definetely one for the future. Jeez South Africa is an incredible cricketing nation. Been churning out incredible talents for so long.

With transofrmation targets surely, Ngidi easily makes it into the team

I wouldn't put Ngidi and "transformation targets" in the same sentence, he literally has eight wickets in the ONGOING test...to do so would suggest that he's there because they wanted a black face in the mix..yet he is their best performing bowler in the test that being played RIGHT NOW!! Plus he has good stats from previous matches. I think the obsession of quortas and labelling black players as quorta players despite talent levels, performances and tangible results is just sad

Well it's a hot topic that's never going away, that's the big problem. Bear in mind that the new order coined that phrase that now rightfully hangs around their necks.
I agree he's definitely not a quota player, he's world class.
What would you call him if he loses form and pace (he's capable of 125 when he's overweight) and they put him in instead of a young Boer bowling rockets? It's happened before and it will happen again, then everyone starts shouting at each other. It's like when Philander replaced Abbott in the WC. He definitely doesn't deserve that moniker, but he had to wear it. Maybe he was contractually obliged not to turn it down, but were that not the case he should have stepped back. SA may have won that.

Just seen a slo mo of Bumrah at his release point, how's he not in hospital?
I swear he reverse swung that one with delivery with a brand new ball, went the other way and noone picked it up.

Of course. He isnt a quota player at all. But his addition into the side allows South Africa to avoid proper quota players who dont deserve a position in the side at all

Never really watched Keegan Petersen before. Hope I don't give him the kiss of death but he looks really organised.

One of the few modern players with no trigger and a late blacklift. Old school, neat and tidy.
